Siena Imaging’s Multimodal MRI For Multiple Sclerosis

To validate multimodal approaches to assess the relationship between focal and diffuse
damage, and between structural and functional connectivity, in the brains of multiple
sclerosis patients. This is the aim of the project “A multiscale integrated approach to the
study of the nervous system in health and disease”, submitted by Siena Imaging in the
Mnesys call (Spoke n.2 Bando a Cascata per Piccole e Medie Imprese) and fully funded
with around 250,000 euros.
The project aims to provide an integrated analysis of structural and functional features in
MRI to develop clinically relevant multimodal models for studying the brain in multiple
sclerosis.
